Concrete-repair proposal - preparation phases and processing steps

PREPARATION AND PROCESSING CYCLE
• Remove any flaking and loose parts via chipping. Dust and dirt will be removed with water washing.
• Remove and cut in depth any iron spacers by chipping the surrounding parts.
• Any uncovered rods must be cleaned down to the bare metal and all rust must be removed.
• Immediately after cleaning, the reinforcing rods will be treated and protected to avoid any oxidation by applying a coat of STRATO FER using a brush.
• Plaster the concrete joints, gravel nests and all the chipped areas with compensated shrinkage mortar RESISTO UNIFIX.
• Any low thickness surface irregularity will be smoothed with thyrotrophic and fibre-reinforced cement mortar with compensated shrinkage GEORAPID or, alternatively RESISTO UNIFIX or RESISTO LEVEL. Average coverage: 1.8 Kg/dm³

PROTECTIVE, WATERPROOFING AND DECORATIVE PAINT
• Thorough cleaning of the substrate through pressure washing or hydro-sandblasting of the surfaces to be treated.
• Subsequently it will waterproof and protect the structure against carbonation with a special protective and decorative coating with a base of elastomeric acrylic resins ELASTOLIQUID S in the desired tint (LONG LIFE COLOURS). Average coverage: 2 coats of 200gr/m² per coat
