INDEX products have been forged several times by some manufacturers in the Far East countries, who illegaly used our Index logo, some of our waterproofing membranes’ registered trademarks as well as pictograms (see picture no. 1) which are meant to identify field of use of our products. Recently we have been informed that, besides our waterproofing membranes (see picture no. 2), also our products for grouting (Fugocolor), used for tiles’ application, (see picture no. 3 and picture no. 4) have been forged in Albania. Forgery of products is a dishonesty that afflicts not only manufacturers of Luxury Goods but also leading companies of other sectors like Index that exports products in more than 100 countries.

In order to continuously innovate not only our products but also the services that Index dedicates to its clients, we have developed a new packaging for the wrapping of our Polymer Bituminous Membranes. The new white coloured shrinking bag, especially resistant to UV rays, has the company logo and the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification marks stamped on it, granting so to the product a very strong and commercially relevant image. This important novelty together with the adoption of a futuristic, high powered thermic shrinkage plant, active from a long time now, enables us to offer to the market a really painstaking product which is perfect both for the building yard and the warehousing.

The newly elected Ukrainian President Yushenko used for the construction of his new dacha various Index products, with regard to which he has demonstrated great satisfaction, as is showed by the cordiality of the picture in which he is portrayed with the application team which was responsible for the applications.

MAC ROOFING & CONTRACTING Ltd., a UK based company, has won the THE NATIONAL BUR AWARDS 2004 (an FRA – Flat Roofing Alliance – Initiative) for BEST PROJECT OVER 1.000 m2 as well as VERY BEST IN SHOW. The project was carried out by using INDEX SpA modified bituminous membranes.
